Bluish coloration of the eye whites caused by a congenital scleral thinning and transparency of the collagen fibers, which make the underlying tissue veins to become visible. The conditions are characteristic of several disorders, particularly connective tissue abnormalities, including Marfan’s syndrome, osteogenesis imperfecta, Ehlers-Danls syndrome, Willems De Vries syndrome, pseudoxanthoma elasticum, etc.
