A rare eyelid abnormality that often manifests in childhood or early adolescence. It is marked by aggravations and remissions of painless upper eyelid edema linked to stretching, fine wrinkling and thinning of the affected skin. Often, the episodes cause eyelid skin redundancy. The lower eyelids are usually not affected.
