A common, degenerative clinical entity where calcium-lipid complexes aggregate in the vitreous humor (between the retina and lens). They are tiny, spherical soap-like globs in the vitreous and can be unilateral or bilateral. The condition affects mainly older patients, with the number of affected males being twice that of females.
