Anterior Chamber Intraocular Lens

Artificial lens implants placed in the anterior chamber. ACIOL falls under the Phakic category, which is the implantation of an artificial lens, while the natural crystalline lens is still intact. They are fixed into the eye with the support of the iris. Phakic intraocular lenses are used to treat near-sightedness.
