The part of the eye located between the cornea and iris that contains the trabecular meshwork. The size of the angle is vital as it determines the speed at which aqueous humor flows out of the eye, thus determining intraocular pressure. It also determines anterior chamber depth. When the anterior chamber angle width narrows, the risk of developing angle-closure glaucoma increases.
