A fluid-filled space located between the iris and the endothelium. AC is filled with aqueous humor, which is a see-through, watery fluid that is responsible for excreting metabolic waste from the cornea and iris and also maintains intraocular pressure. The AC’s depth averages at 3.0mm, and as the depth goes below 2.5mm, the risk to develop angle-closure glaucoma increases.
