After the exam, the doctor will discuss the results and available treatment options, if any. Since your eyes were dilated before the exam, expect blurred vision for several hours following the examination, as well as sensitivity to light. That is why you are advised to carry sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun in addition to having someone drive you back home. You may also be unable to read or look at a screen for several hours. However, if your eyes were not dilated, you can resume normal activities immediately.
